Position: Construction Labourer
Location: Cork City, Ireland
Responsibilities
- Support skilled tradespeople with various tasks on construction sites, in areas such as preparing and cleaning up job sites, loading and unloading materials, and assembling scaffolding.
- Perform manual labor tasks following instructions from supervisors
- Assist in the erection and relocation of temporary structures.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and report any problems to the construction manager or safety coordinator.
- Operate various tools and machinery as instructed, using appropriate safety measures and precautions.
- Clean up the job site, including removing trash and disposing of debris; clean equipment and tools.
- Participate in training sessions on safety procedures and construction methods.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient completion of projects.
Requirements
- No formal education is required; however, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous work experience as a construction laborer or similar is an added advantage, though not a necessity.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Awareness of construction safety practices
